Social Enterprise Research Academy (SERA) is established in 2014, and formerly named as Social Enterprise Research Institute (SERI). With the motto of “Harness the Market to Bring Social Caring”, SERA has been dedicated to create a cross-sectoral platform with business, academic, social and political sectors, to facilitate communication and cooperation among policy-makers, corporate leaders, educators and non-profit bodies with the aim to bring social caring.

SERA dedicates to the continual development, promotion and application of corporate citizenship principles, to broaden the international perspective of industry leaders and give back to our society.

Service Provider of United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI)

SERA is proud to be a services provider of United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) since August 2015. The PRI provides the Principles to incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues into mainstream investment decision – making and ownership. Signatories to the PRI demonstrate that investment managers are committed to investing responsibility.

PRI signatories must accept a series of six principles, including:

  • Promote acceptance and implementation of the PRI Principles within the investment industry.
  • Provide customized, step-by-step approach to implementing the PRI Principles.
  • Assist institutional investors in establishing measures for ESG reporting.
  • Work together with academic institutions in the development of more robust ESG research.
  • Develop the platform for the RPI network activities and events.
  • Provide training and development for the ESG programs and implementation.

SERA also supports UN Global Compact. This organization is committed to mobilize the businesses and stakeholders to jointly create and achieve a sustainable world.

SERA is honored to invite Mr. Gustavo Berlanga, the Former Chairman of UN Global Compact (Mexico) to be the Guest of Honour of our Social Caring Award Presentation Ceremony.  He is also served as our Honorary Chairman, working with SERA to promote the significance of sustainable development for business and society.
